Specifically designed by Master Page himself to ease the transition from Lil' Dragons to the Kids programme, Kidz Zone provides children with a slightly more challenging learning experience. Students will learn more complex Martial Arts techniques and combinations and will be able to progress to the Leadership programme, where their training becomes even more challenging and diverse.
The main aim of Kidz Zone is to teach children essential life skill, which can be applied to both their Martial Arts training and their life in general. These skills include Perseverance, Concentration, Agility, Technique, Intensity and Flexibility.
1. Perseverance – the students will learn how to face the challenges presented to them, knowing that they will struggle to complete the challenge.
2. Concentration – the students will learn how to focus all their attention to the task on hand while committing themselves to learning and growing in the process.
3. Intensity – the students will learn how to perform their martial arts with strong effort and attitude.
4. Courage – the students will learn how to overcome fear and nervousness through drills and tasks that initially seem intimidating.
5. Speed – the students will learn how to have speed without compromising their balance, body position, or technique.
6. Agility – the students will also learn how to jump, dodge, and move about quickly without compromising their balance, body position or technique.
7. Technique – the students will learn the fundamental components of good technique.
8. Flexibility – the students will learn how to gain and maintain good flexibility through a series of drills and tasks.
The students will learn how to refine these fundamental skills with proper training and development. All of the drills and tasks the students train through will help them understand the 8 fundamental skills and how they play an important role in Martial Arts training. Once the student has completed the Kidz Zone they will have a true understanding of these skills, which will benefit both their Martial Arts training and their academic studies.
