Richmond Academy Of Martial Arts

The Certified Instructors programme develops students from within the academy to becoming certified instructors recognised by Great Britain martial Arts Association. The course length is 2- 4 years depending on the level of the student enrolling onto the programme. The programme educates CIT students to teach and run an academy of their own. Students will receive intensive martial arts instruction from Master Page and the Academy’s senior chief instructors.

CIT Students learn a range of martial arts skills to a mastery level. Students will develop and learn how to teach others to the professional standards of the GBMAA.  CIT students essential learn two side of the martial arts industry these are:

• Teaching, instruction and personal tuition
• Business management

The martial arts industry in the UK is growing at a lightning rate, and will soon match the successful levels as in the United States. The United States of America has developed their Martial arts industry into a multi-billion dollar industry. The United Kingdom has begun showing the early signs of repeating such successes. The GBMAA wants to ensure that their academy continues to grow with the industry and the only way the academy can do so is through its students.

GBMAA teaches essential business knowledge to the CIT students. The academy uses the Academy’s training centre to train CIT students to acquire the necessary IT skills which are essential in running a modern academy. Students will also learn core interpersonal skills such as:

• Speech, conversing with students and potential students, telephone speech training, script and role play.
• Body language, professionalism, none offensive and authorities
• Listing, analysing information, and choosing correct response.

Interpersonal skills are an essential tool for a martial arts instructor. Instructors are the commodity of an academy and instructors are the managers of a business. A business manager must be able to work with and organise a productive and successful team.
