Richmond Academy Of Martial Arts

On 25th April 2009 members of Richmond martial arts and GB Elite will be representing at the prestigious kickboxing show "Only the strong".

Our fighters have been working very hard for this and will put on a fantastic show for all in attendance!

Our very own Cheif Instructor Mr W Lucas will alo be figting on the show, his first fight on only the strong for some time.

"I love only the strong as a show, i lost my last appearance so i have been working tirelessly on my kickboxing with my C.I.T. team. with just three weeks to go we will be upping the training right until the week of the fight where i will concetrate of keeping my energy levels up and avoiding injury!"

We also have our two top girls fighting on the show. Miss Helen Bannan (2007 wpka world champ) and Miss Helena Martin (2008 wpka world champ and Mixed martial arts coach).

Miss Martin has been training for MMA for the last year or so and coming back to Kickboxing for this fight may even mark a return to the circuit this year! her opponent Miss Liz Ferioli is a known fighter and will pose as a good match for Miss Martin.

Working closley with her coaches Wayne Dudley, Mr Lucas and Micheal Page she has been pushing herself to ensure victory.

Miss Bannan is hoping to achieve a second victory in a row in the show since her impressive 2nd round stoppage last time out. Miss Bannan has been going from strength to strength over the last year and we look forward to seeing how far she can grow.

Also fighting on Only the strong will be GB Elite member and frequent  competitor on the show Alex Campbell, looking for yet another victory Mr Campell is moving towards that title shot!

Not to foget Mr Micheal Page will be competing and no doubt showing his own special brand of kickboxing skills and grace.
